He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Jean Butler Kobel (Gown); and his parents, Frank Kobel and Louise Kobel. He is survived by: his children, Patty Kobel, Nancy Kobel of Champaign and Mike Kobel of Urbana; his granddaughter Kymberly Hosier of Champaign; his brother Karl Kobel of Melbourne, FL; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Block (Dan) of Broadlands. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
