Richard Garinger Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on January 30, 2026, at the age of 59, Richard Garinger (Savoy, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Richard find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Garinger and Patricia Garinger (MacAulay); his brother-in-law Tom Schroeder; and his nieces, Jeanne Huelsbusch and Maggie Gebhart.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Glenn (Jenny); his son Philip James Garinger (PJ); and his sisters, Judy Huelsbusch (Bernie), Cindy Woehrmann (Ralph) and Leslie Schroeder. He is also survived by his siblings-in-law, nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, and many, many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eastern Illinois Foodbank, Champaign County Humane Society, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
