He was predeceased by: his parents, William Martin and Edna Martin (Wubbena); his wife Jane Martin; his parents-in-law, Ernest and Ruth Luethke; his brother Eugene Martin; his brothers-in-law, Bernard Baker, Charles Deppe and Leonard Redfearn; and his nephew Randy Baker.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janna (Jeff Schmitt) and Leanne (Chris Steege); his grandchildren, Gavin Schmitt, Mia Steege and Mason Steege; and his sisters, Marlene Baker and Kay Redfearn.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home (316 South Ave, Scales Mound, IL 61075). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
