She was predeceased by: her husband William S. Janik; her parents, Andrzej Gajewski and Jozefa Gajewski (Wrobel); and her siblings, Maria, Tadeusz, Bronisława, Eugeniusz, Bolesław, Stanisława, Władysław, Krystyna and Wanda.
She is survived by: her children, Janusz Janik (Helen), Bogdan Janik (Margaret) and Elizabeth Napierala (Euzebiusz); her grandchildren, Robert Janik (Krystyna), Renee Hackney (Jason), Diane Babynko (Michael), Sebastian Janik (Maureen), Natalie Janik (Michael Jachym), Kathy Szewczyk (Przemek), Alexis Szewczyk (Marcin), Olivia Napierala and Colin Napierala; and her great grandchildren, Alex, Jake, Luke, Lilyana, Gabriela, Stefan, Joseph, Nicholas, Nolan, Rosalie, Emma and Julian.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home (7812 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Brebeuf Church (8307 N Harlem Ave, Niles, IL 60714). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at the Maryhill Cemetery (8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
