He was predeceased by: his father John Stephens; his siblings, Patrick Stephens and Ann Stephens; and his parents-in-law, Evelyn and James Marmitt.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Stephens; his children, Sarah Goode (Josh), David Stephens, Susan Friedlander (Frank), Emily Plunkett (David), Jeffrey Stephens (Paulina) and Timothy Krajewski; his grandchildren, Charles, Francesca, Jackson, Penelope, Henry, Bradley, Olive and Charlotte; his mother Anita Stephens; his siblings, Mary Kusak (Richard), Daniel Stephens (Sharon), Timothy Stephens (Susan) and Mark Stephens (Karen); and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Marmitt Saunders (Alvin), Barbara Marmitt, Judith Marmitt Warren (Mick) and James Marmitt (Mary).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Saint Anne Catholic Church (120 Ela St, Barrington, IL 60010). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the St. Anne's Food Pantry (https://www.givecentral.org) would best honor Mike's memory.
