He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Tabatt and Esther Tabatt (Jordan). He is survived by: his wife Mary Tabatt; his daughters, Elizabeth Ziemann (Mark) and Susan Wach (John); his grandchildren, Hannah, Charlie, Morgan, Carlin (Joshua) and Jordan; and his sister Carol Kurmann (Edward). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prairie Lutheran Church (10805 Main St, Huntley, IL 60142). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley or Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church.
