He was predeceased by : his parents, Uno Leaf and Mabel Leaf. He is survived by : his wife Gloria; his children, Duane Leaf (Christine), Judy Walter (Dan) and Laurie Krause (Tim); and his grandchildren, Ryan Walter (Natalie), Jordan Walter (Carolyn), Abby Walter, Jessie Seubert (Brandon), Allie Westom (Logan), Patti Aygard (Josh) and Ron Leaf (Kait). He is also survived by great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Lutheran Church (202 E Schaumburg Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60194). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Guardian Hospice.
