We are sad to announce that, on February 19, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Scott Fridrich of Schaumburg, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As Scott departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Scott. Though Scott may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He is survived by: his significant other Laurel Gisch; his daughters, Christina Merritt, Kimberly Gisch (Jake Rohn) and Kalina Fridrich; and his siblings, George Fridrich (Barbara), Jeffrey Fridrich (Amanda), Jennifer Fridrich (Charlie Russell), Noelle Miller (Scott) and Rebecca Conklin (Kenneth).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to help support them during this difficult time.

“Scott was one of the kindest and friendliest persons I've ever known. He welcomed my son and I to his train table at the Midwest Train shows for over 8 years. He faithfully showed up every month, rain or shine, so families could enjoy his layouts. Over time we got to know each other, and he secretly built a personalized layout for my son and delivered it to our home! He LOVES it and runs it daily/nightly. It's THE most generous, thoughtful and creative gift we've ever received. That's Scott.”

“I got to spend a lot of time with Scott while he built a HO Scale layout at my home. It turned out great due to his amazing creativity, artistry and mechanical and electrical expertise. He was a great teacher, very patient and always willing to take a call when I needed some guidance on operating the trains. My family also got to know him, including some of my grandchildren, and he was so kind to all. I will sorely miss him and offer my deepest condolences to his family. Allan Greenberg.”
