Beverly leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Beverly’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Beverly will carry forward her memory in their hearts.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Gulley and Gipsie Gulley (Bledsoe); her husband Donald Richard Basso; and her daughter Karen Shurtz. She is survived by: her children, Rick Basso (Sandy) of Sesser and Jeanne Wright (Chuck) of Valier. She is also survived by five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home (102 W Callie St, Sesser, IL 62884). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Eternal Friends of Christ, Residential Hospice or Sesser First Responders.
