We announce the death of Darrel Bigham of Sesser, Illinois, who passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 73. Darrel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Darrel’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Bigham, Sr. and Merle Francine Bigham (Hayse); and his siblings, Dennis Keelin, Butch Taylor and Linda Taylor Cockrum.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jack Bigham (Lydia) of Benton, IL, Peggy Fitzpatrick (Mike) of Benton, IL, Donna Perkins of Benton, IL, Deon Bankston of Johnston City, IL and Charlie Dahmm of Bolivar, MO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions, in memory of Darrel, may be made to the Benton/West City Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry, and will be accepted at the services.
