He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. William Harvey Ward and Irene Ward (Cox); his wife Leota "Lee" Ward (Connor); his daughter-in-law Michelle Renee Ward; and his siblings, William Harvey Ward, Jr. and Neva June Coggins (Ward).

He is survived by : his children, Byron Ward (Tonya) of Buckner, IL, Scott Ward of Sesser and Brandi Ward (Kent Kellerman) of Sesser; his grandchildren, Abbie Leigh Ward, Jordan Ward and Jered Benson; and his great grandchild Briella Dayne Davis.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home (102 W Callie St, Sesser, IL 62884). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the 4-Way Stop Car Show or the Sesser Homecoming Association.
