He was predeceased by: his parents, David Lemons and Amanda Lemons; his wife Gloria Lemons (Zettler); his daughter Marsha Green; his grandchildren, Matyson Ragland and Timmy Green; and his siblings, Rosa Cobb, Loyd Lemons, Norma Haley and Doris Stinson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sara Wetherbee (Tony) of Zeigler, IL, Amanda Lemons (Ron) and Rachael Hamburger (Jeff) of Sesser, IL.; his stepsons, David Smith of Sesser, IL and Robin Smith of Metropolis, IL; his siblings, Gary Lemons of Sesser, IL, Carol Wilkerson of Tennessee, Charlotte Lemons of Sesser, IL and Shirley Davis of Royalton, IL.; his grandchildren, Malissa Green, Maranda Lemons, Wade Lemons, Bethany Smith, Alicia Green, Zenida Perez, Ofelia Perez, Austin Smith, Gio Lemons, Gage Ragland, Amilya Ragland, Ethan Hamburger and Sierra Moore; and his pets, Vixen, Ozzy, Paul and Sheba. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many adopted family.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Sesser VFW. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dryden Cemetery.
