He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Kenneth and Elizabeth M. Lytle Sr. (Peter); and his son Jeffrey Lytle. He is survived by: his wife Inez Lytle of DeKalb, IL; his children, Deborah Thorson (Randal) of Clayton, NC, Terri Tiffany (Greg) of Perry, IA, Bruce Lytle (Christa) of Dixon, IL and Lisa Johnson of Rochelle, IL; his grandchildren, Lucas, Derek, Brooke, Bryce, Michael, Hannah, Jacob, McAley, Shannon, Morgan, Tate and Libby; and his siblings, Robert Lytle of Excelsior Springs, MO and Janet Combs. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, Paw Paw, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nash-Nelson Funeral Home - Waterman (1001 E Garfield St, Waterman, IL 60556). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (221 West Kirke Gate, Lee, IL 60560). A burial was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Saint James Calvary Cemetery (1369 County Line Rd, Lee, IL 60530).
