She was predeceased by: her parents, Merrill Runte and Alta Runte (Wubbena); and her husband Max Edler. She is survived by: her children, Randy Edler (Mary), Bryan Edler (Michele), Robert Edler (Marcia), Kay Nigg (Greg) and Renna Zumdahl (Brian); her brother Roger Runte (Sue); and her brother-in-law Lynn Edler (Richard). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great - grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Burke-Tubbs Funeral Homes - Freeport (504 N Walnut Ave, Freeport, IL 61032). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prairie Dell Presbyterian Church (16032 W Coffman Rd, Shannon, IL 61078).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her memory.
