He is survived by: his children, Arval Van, Jr. of Shawneetown, IL and Carissa Newton of Newburgh, IN; his sisters, Virgie Patton (Brian) of Shawneetown, IL, Marlene Lynch of Omaha, IL and Joyce Weddell (Stanley) of Waverly, KY; his grandchildren, Casey, Tony, Cory, Chelsea, Alex, Tessa, Brittany and Braiden; his sister-in-law Mary Van of Shawneetown, IL; and his niece Lois Poore of Shawneetown, IL.. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Hogan Cemetery.
