He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Oliver and LaVonne Ruff (Polley); his siblings, Helen Manship, Claudette Morrison, Ann Mahnke, Ruth Shewmake, Daisy Tolen and Elmer Ruff; his mother-in-law Madeline Wilcox; his brother-in-law Chad Wilcox; and his niece Danyelle Marie Cushman.
He is survived by: his wife Cherri Shewmake; his daughter Stephanie Coventry (Josh) of Fancher, IL; his grandchildren, Paige Madeline and Cloe Renae; his siblings, Lloyd Ruff of Fancher, IL, Mary Conner of Stewardson, IL and Donna Switzer of Port Orchard, WA; his father-in-law Glenn Wilcox of Mode, IL; and his siblings-in-law, John Carter (Jude) of Effingham, IL, Mike Wilcox (Chris) of Pana, IL and Diane Meyers (Mark) of Greenup, IL..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Howe & Yockey Funeral Home (415 N Broadway St, Shelbyville, IL 62565).
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (In Memory of: Danyelle Marie Cushman).
