He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Dominick Garlick and Mary Jane Garlick (Jendrzjeczyk); and his father-in-law H. Graham Treible, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Kethan Garlick of Champaign, IL, Morgan Jendrzjeczyk of Urbana, IL, Christopher D Garlick of Shelbyville, IL, Avery Adric Degenhart of Flossmoor, IL, Nyssa Marie Gumulauski of Lake Station, IN and James Donald Garlick of Danville, IL; his siblings, Larry Garlick (Becky) of Round Lake, IL and Sandy Garlick Quinn of McHenry, IL; his stepmother Sue Garlick of Arlington Heights, IL; and his mother-in-law R. Elaine Degenhart of Park Forest, IL.. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (nationalmssociety.org) to help people live with MS and stay active.
