It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John C. Swaar of Shelbyville, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on September 16, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Mac Swaar and Elsie Swaar (Montgomery); his brother Bill Swaar; and his nephew Jim Behrends (Leonda Markee). He is survived by : his siblings, Anna Marie Behrends (Darrel) and Robert Swaar (Sarah Jane); his sister-in-law Kathy Swaar; and his nieces and nephews, Martha Konzelman (Mark), Maxine LaCroix, Lisa Steffens, Warren Swaar and Matt Swaar (Deborah). He is also survived by several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
