She is survived by : her siblings, Annette Tomaszewski of Shelbyville, IL and Mark Tomaszewski of Tower Hill, IL; her nephews, Brock and Blake Hammond of Shelbyville, IL; her niece Roxanne Hammond of Shelbyville, IL; her Border Collies, Micah, Ziva, Pete, Piper and Ben; and her parrot Zeus.

“I knew Laura had been ill but was still shocked and grieved to learn of her passing. I had known Laura for over20 yrs through our common interest - our beloved Border Collies, first in the fledgling AKC parent club and later through our love of herding. She came to my house several times for lessons with Bill Berhow.She could always be counted on to pitch in where help was needed. I send my deepest condolences to you all.”
