With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nelson E. Wiley of Shelbyville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Wiley and Viola Wiley (Haines); his siblings, Maurice "Bud" Wiley, Vashti Barnes (Harry), Fleta Trader Selma (Clyde) and Beverly Gideon (Donald); Elvis Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Walbright (Murrie); and his stepsons, David Walbright and Mark Walbright (Linda). He is also survived by six step-grandchildren; one step great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church in Shelbyville.
