It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis K. Mitchell of Shelbyville, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on May 21, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, George Thomas "Tommy" and Evelyn Bunton Gardner; and her husband Jimmy Mitchell. She is survived by : her children, Debra Gesser (Dave) of Shelbyville, IL, Eric Arnold (Echo) of Singapore, James Mitchell (Victoria) of Moweaqua, IL and Bryan Mitchell of Shelbyville, IL. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
