He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Ambrose and Lenora Boarman (Lovens); his wife Pamela J. Boarman; his siblings, Shirley Gaddis (Lyle), Sharon "Sue" Roessler, Ed Boarman (Maggie) and Joe Boarman; his parents-in-law, Max and Helen Williams; and his siblings-in-law, Carl Fulford, Michael Williams and Sue Ann Williams.

He is survived by: his children, Robert "Rob" T. Boarman (Martha) of Shelbyville, Edward "Ed" Boarman (Carrie) of Shelbyville and Jodi Allen (Rick) of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Derek Rodman (Tabi), Mark Cordes, Mikailah Clark (Brad Halterman), Cody Boarman (Kylee Burcham), Jenna Daniels, Luke Cordes, Mykennah Allen, Kamryn Boarman, Robert "Robbie" B. Boarman, Kearah Allen, Chase Boarman and Conner Boarman; his great grandchildren, Macee Rodman and Deaken Rodman; his sisters, Donna Norris (Gene) of Ballwin, MO, Evelyn Norris (George) of Taylorville and Betty Fulford of Shelbyville; and his siblings-in-law, Doug Williams (Debbie) of Shelbyville, Scott Williams (Vicky) of Shelbyville and Susan Reynolds (Gary) of Greenup. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in his name "Robert Boarman" for his family to decide at a later date.

“I didn't personally know Bob, but as the Father-in-Law of Glenn Boarman, I have heard many outstanding stories of his extensive generosity and love for family and the Shelbyville community, both near and far. Glenn had occasion to live with him for a couple of years and knew him well as his "stand-in father."”
