He is survived by: his children, Dane Sample (Mallory) of St. Louis, MO, Devan Pfeiffer (Jeff Cocagne) of Sherman, IL and Darci Thompson (Trevor) of Petersburg, IL; his sister Karen Hill (Tom) of Crown Point, IN; his grandchildren, Reed, Claire, Liam, Samuel, Noelle and Abram; and his pet Maggie.
