He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Mark, Jr. and Suzanne Beattie (Mitchell); his wife Katrina J. Hizer; and his sister Teresa Beattie Slusser. He is survived by: his children, Jason Smith of Sherman and Dr. Sarah Smith of Springfield; his grandchildren, Quentin Smith (Jessica Prumm), Makaeda Matthews-Smith (Drew), Gavin Smith, Gabrielle Smith and Alexis Smith; his sister Cindy Randall of Rochester, IN; his nieces, Jacqueline Randall Jaberg and Jessica Randall Underwood; and his nephew Kevin Kennedy. He is also survived by four great nieces, two great great nieces and two great great nephews.
