He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Stanley Funk (Elvera Moldenhauer Funk) and Gary; his brother Richard "Dick" Funk; his brother-in-law Dwain Franz; and his nephew Tyler Franz.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon L. Otte Funk; his daughter Taylor L. Funk of Sherman, IL; his granddaughter Maya; his children, Maya and Daniel Pienkowski; his sisters, Linda Franz of Lincoln, IL and Rebecca Cecil (Don) of Springfield, IL; and his pets, Yadi and Smoke. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
