He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Allison and Hazel Allison (Hull); his brother George Jr.; his wife Dolores Kaufman; his children, James and Mary Kay; his grandson Blake; and his stepfather Elmer Alkire.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Allison (Karen), Stephen Allison (Cindy) of Dawson and Sharon Jones (David) of Pawnee; his grandchildren, Steve, Josh, Beth, Shannon, Eric, Bryce, Kyle and Matthew; and his great grandchildren, Hayden, Scarlett and Charlie.
