He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Carter and Mildred Carter (Bates); and his sister Olive Willis. He is survived by: his wife Linda Carter (Barbee) of Sherman; his son Jeff Carter of Sherman; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fry (Tre) of Sherman and Trey Carter of Sherman; his great grandchild Kohen Fry; and his siblings, Cheryle Downs (Paul) of Sherman and Ed Carter of Sherman.
