He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Kihn and Louise Kihn (Schlitt); his son Joseph Peter Kihn; and his sisters, Marjorie Meyer and Mary Louise Townsend.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kihn of Sherman; his daughters, Heather Kihn-Jenkins (Wiley) of Sherman and Ashley Kihn-Pasbrig (Aaron) of Sherman; his grandchildren, David, Michael Jenkins, Luke, Andrew Farnsworth, Brianna Stufflebeam, Heather Wilshusen, Grace Pasbrig, Jacob and Grace Walrad; his sister Elaine Corum of Springfield; and his daughters, Shelly Walrad (Chris) and Carla Wilson (Steve). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the First United Methodist Church (2941 S Koke Mill Rd, Springfield, IL 62711). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
