With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Murphy of Sherman, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Kenneth and Lorraine Celeste Murphy (Murray); his wife JoAnne Atkinson; and his sister Mary Ann Murphy. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Lewis (Jamie) of Anderson, IN, Erin Murphy of Pingree Grove, IL and Ryan Murphy of Sherman; his grandchildren, Connor Lewis, Haylee Hornbacker and Addison Murphy; his siblings, Eileen Abbey (Scott) of Arizona and Vince Murphy of Blue Island, IL; his niece Laura Abbey; and his nephew Phillip Abbey.
