In loving memory of Larry L. McMeekan of Sherrard, Illinois, who departed this world on October 13, 2025 at the age of 86. Larry leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas McMeekan and Leona McMeekan (Hurstrom); his former wife Ella Mae Lucas; and his nephew Rodney. He is survived by: his wife Judy M. Brown; his children, Kathy Slattery (Chris), Gary McMeekan (Robin McGee), Larry McMeekan Jr. (Peggy) and Kandy DeKeyser (Scott); and his brother Franklin McMeekan (Janet). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory (1301 4th St, Orion, IL 61273). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd. (1301 4th St, Orion, IL 61273).
