With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert James Cooksley Sr. of Sherrard, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 28, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Cooksley and Delores Cooksley (Albang); and his son Robert Cooksley Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Cooksley of Sherrard, IL; his son Scott Cooksley (Michelle) of Independence, IA; his grandchildren, Tyler Cooksley (Sarah), Ryan Cooksley (Jenna), Kylee Kayser (Luke), Kanyon Cooksley (Danica Fjelstul) and Holly Cooksley (Nate Hill); his great grandchildren, Rhys, Shane, Lucas, Remingtyn, Elliott and Rory Cooksley; his brothers, Kenneth (Evelyn Cooksley) and Richard Cooksley; and his cousins, Margaret Beehner and Catherine Palmer.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Reiff Family Center - Winthrop (224 220th St, Winthrop, IA 50682). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
