He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Leo and Helen Teresa Prew (Howe); his wife Helen; his siblings, John Prew and Kathleen Setterberg (Richard); and his sisters-in-law, Antanina Mickus and Marija Arstikys.
He is survived by: his children, Renee Prew of Morris and James M. Prew (Lora) of San Diego, California; his sister Michele Colias (Michael) of Aurora; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Prew of Minneapolis and Kastule Vabalaitis of Lombard, Illinois..
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (600 E Jackson St, Morris, IL 60450). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St Casimir Catholic Cemetery (4401 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655).
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Jim's memory to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, Illinois 60431.
