She is survived by: her children, James Marek (Julie), Liz Marek (Andrew Kilbride), Jordan Campuzano (Sergio) and Lacey Marek Cole (Ryan); her grandchildren, Jack, Max, Kate, Finnegan, Ailish, Maeve, Manny, Viviana, Della and Vera; her boyfriend Wayne Thomas; her former husband Denny Marek; her brother John Forbess (Elayne Garber); and her nieces, Lindsy Forbess and Chelsey Smith.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431).
