He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Filbert and Kathleen Filbert (Hagel); his daughter Lisa Stovall; his brother-in-law Bob Schaefer; and his pet Chloe.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherri Filbert of Ardmore, PA; his siblings, Joseph Filbert (Carole) of Viroqua, WI and Mary Ellen Schaefer of Urbandale, IA; his granddaughter Nicole Holman (Dustin) of Muscatine, IA; his great grandchildren, Colton Garcia, Jiovanhi Garcia, Lilyanna "Doll" Holman and Alexandria Holman; and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Gabrielle Holman and Hayley Carnithan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
