She was predeceased by: her parents, William Carroll and Margaret Cosner (Grice); her husband Jack D. Gentry; her daughter Linda Staples; and her sister Marilyn Cosner.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Deyoe (Allen) of Orion, Susan Vaughn (Mark) of Sherrard and David Peterson of St. Paul, Minnesota; and her stepdaughter Bonnie DeMarlie (John) of Manlius, Illinois. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory - Moline (701 12th St, Moline, IL 61265). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rock Island National Cemetery (1600 River Dr, Moline, IL 61265).
