He was predeceased by : his parents, James H. Coyle and Ruth E. Coyle (Eastman); his wife Joan Schipper; and his sisters, Pat Danner, Natalie Fagan, Kay Coyle and Bonnie Reed.

He is survived by : his former life partners, Sherry Tyler and Janet Long; his children, Perry, Sherry, Lorraine, James S. Coyle (Heather), Kelly A. Bowser (Jeff), Rosemary M. Moreno (Jose), Tena R. Hughes (Brad Franks) and William Pepper Coyle (Terri); and his stepchildren, Wendy Petsel, Rusty Long, Jennifer McCoy (David) and Erik Tillberg (Sarah). He is also survived by 48 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
