Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Poust of Silvis, Illinois, born in Salina, Kansas, who passed away at the age of 89, on October 12, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Poust and Jeannette Poust (Ortmen); his wife Nancy Roberts; his brother Grover Poust; and his sister-in-law Louise Poust.

He is survived by: his sons, John "Jed" Poust (Renee) and David Poust; his grandsons, Dr. Ashley Poust, Ben Poust (Jessica), Salt and Eli Poust; his stepgrandchildren, Seala Hite of Marengo, IL and Tyler Hite; his brother Jim; and his sister-in-law Nancy Roberts. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Organ Fund at Orion United Methodist Church, Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline, Shriners Hospital for Children, Chicago.

“Jed, Renee, David & Family, We have such fond memories of Jack and your mom, going out for breakfast or to Happy Joe's pizza. They were so active for many years in our Bible study group & added so much and friendships formed within the close group. We had met at Lavender Crest after Marcene's funeral. I've included some pics from the Bible Study group. Your parents knew how to have a good time. We enjoyed the yearly New Years Day soup luncheon that everyone would bring food & watch Football.”
