We are sad to announce that, on September 11, 2020, at the age of 83, Mattie Dorsey of Silvis, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Edwards and Lizzie Edwards (Williams); her husband John Dorsey; her siblings, William Edwards, John Mathews and Rebecca Gore; her brother-in-law Walter Gore; and her close friend Rick Ward.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Williams of Pittsburg, PA, Lester Williams (Helen) of Pittsburg, PA and Peggy Whighan of Pittsburg, PA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 1 nephew.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
