He is survived by: his wife Joyce Anne Hoyt; his son Larry Nevins (Cathy) of Rock Island; his grandchildren, Candi Buffington (Brandon) of Tennessee, Cori Nevins of Iowa, Jenna Lardner (Ethan) of California and Ben Nevins of Rock Island; his great grandchildren, Ty, Lindsay and Jordin; and his siblings, Beverly Skelton of Port Byron and Billy Nevins (Barb) of Arizona.
