He is survived by: his wife Barbara Amdur Balter; his sister Abby Block (Larry); and his children, Liz Balter McNamara (Cole Stremmel), Tony Balter (Lisa), Tripp Amdur (Chia Huei), Jennifer Amdur-Spitz (Jeff Spitz), Daniel Amdur and Nancy Amdur (Robert Preskill).
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the The Chapel (8851 Skokie Blvd, Skokie, IL 60077). A shiva will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:45 AM and at 8:00 PM at the Alan and Barbara's Residence (1811 Birch Rd, Northbrook, IL 60062).
