He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Mary Murphy Shepherd; his sons, Paul Shepherd (Kathy) and David Shepherd; his stepchildren, John Stevenson, Susan Sims (Scott) and David Stevenson; and his grandchildren, Maddie Thomas (Nate), Scott Shepherd, Hayley Foushee (Zach), Lauren LaCagnin (Michael), Maggie Shepherd, Katherine Stevenson, Paige, Erik and Tommy Sims (Cait).
