Hazel B. Benbow Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel B. Benbow of Skokie, Illinois, who passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reynald Spencer and Daisy Wolf Spencer; and her sibling Aubrey. She is survived by: her children, Faron Henry (Von) and Stacey M. Benbow; her grandchildren, Isaiah, Rebecca, Elijah, Menkhari, Mckhi Henry, Sepheria Benbow-Williams, Paige and Joshua Benbow; her great grandchildren, Khamaria, Serenity, Isaiah Jr., Zemara and Zaccheaus; and her siblings, Albert (Hortence Spencer), Hermaline (William Spencer) and Lucille Smith.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Skokie Valley Baptist Church (1050 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL 60091). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
