He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Ranttila and Phyllis Ranttila; his siblings, David, Richard and Robin; and his pets, Pete, Holly and Louie.

He is survived by : his wife Patricia Ranttila; his children, Timothy Ranttila (Sarah Indovina) and Annie Ranttila (Zaven Gabriel); and his grandchildren, Angus, Arthur and Louise.
