She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnie Hillyard (Prowell) and Roy Hillyard; her husband John Morton Hammond; and her sisters, Bonnie Ashford (Hillyard) and Sandra Johnson (Morrill).
She is survived by: her children, Tawny Lynn Hammond (Amy Clayton), John Scott Hammond and Jill Suzanne Hammond (Neva Hammond); and her grandchildren, Andrew Hammond Ross and Samantha Laura Ross.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Donnellan Family Funeral Home (10045 Skokie Blvd, Skokie, IL 60077). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (9900 Gross Point Rd, Skokie, IL 60076).
