Mai leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mai’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Mai will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Phong Dinh Vu and Soi Thi Pham; and her spouse Phuc Van Nguyen. She is survived by: her children, Trang Nguyen (My Tran) and Trinh Nguyen (Wendell Brewer); and her grandchildren, Jimmy Van Tran, Annie Tran, Noah Vu Brewer and Jacob Nguyen Brewer. She is also survived by three brothers and six sisters.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holy Child Jesus Catholic Parish (St. Margaret Mary Church) (2324 W Chase Ave, Chicago, IL 60645). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
