The passing of Ronald H. Genenz of Skokie, Illinois, born in Evanston, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 27, 2025 at the age of 84. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Ronald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ronald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Harry; and his brother Robert Genenz. He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Cynthia Payne (Benny), Julie Ritzert (late Christopher) and David Genenz (Danielle); and his grandchildren, Kassandra Payne and Christopher Ritzert. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Haben Funeral Home & Crematory (8057 Niles Center Rd, Skokie, IL 60077). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Peter & Lambert Catholic Parish (8100 Niles Center Rd, Skokie, IL 60077).
