He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn E. Gerstein; his parents, Morton Gerstein and Diana Gerstein; and his brothers, Norman Gerstein and Sherwin Gerstein.
He is survived by: his children, Dena Levy (Howard), Michael Gerstein and Joel Gerstein; and his sibling Honey Shapiro (late Sherwin).
