With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Yan Nits (Skokie, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Yan leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Olga; his children, Anna, Oksana and Stas; his grandchildren, Daniela, Isabel, Sawyer, Silas and Shayden; his sister Vera Nits; and his niece Sabina Nits Bernshteyn (Ilya).
