It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nancy Sutherland of Smithton, Illinois, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dennis C. Sutherland; her granddaughter Breanna Nicole Sutherland; her parents, Henry (Norma) and Wilkens; and her siblings, Thomas Wilkens (Glenda) and Joyce Schaefer.
She is survived by: her son Mark W. Sutherland (Stephanie Palazzolo); her grandchildren, Nicholas Charles Sutherland and Lauren E. Sutherland; and her pet Bella. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Renner Funeral Home - Smithton (209 N Main St, Smithton, IL 62285). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the George Renner & Sons Funeral Home (209 N Main St, Smithton, IL 62285).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
