He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edgar Wiley and Elrie Ida Marie Wiley (Rimsnider); his siblings, David R. Wiley, Merlyn J Wiley and Leaon Rae Schafman; his siblings-in-law, Lester Schafman and Rogene Wiley; his nephew Jamie Schafman; and his son-in-law Lavern R Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Constance Wagner (Connie); his daughters, Gail Wiley Thompson and Nancy Summer (Mike); his grandchildren, Jenny Beyers (Ryan Sweeney), Chris Beyers (Kristen), Olivia Summer and Elizabeth Summer; his great grandchildren, Augustus Beyers, Charlotte Beyers, Llewyn Burke, Isabel Sweeney, Theadore Sweeney, Foster Sweeney and Finn Sweeney; his sister-in-law Rosemary Wiley; and his nieces and nephews, Cindy Grumieaux (Phil), Sherri Benson (Rich), Roger Wiley (Sharon), Denny Wiley (Susan), Gary Wiley (Amy Basler), Kennth Schafman (Margie) and Eddie Schafman (KK).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Calendar Turner-Eighner Funeral Home - Somonauk (13160 US-34 W, Somonauk, IL 60552). The military honors will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Calendar Union Congregational Church (305 S Gage St, Somonauk, IL 60552).
